| Dr. Robert Ball grew up in capitals around Western Europe, the son of journalist father from Michigan and an artist mother from Germany. He graduated from medical school at Oxford University. He completed his OB/Gyn residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, followed by fellowship training in Maternal Fetal Medicine at University of California San Francisco. |
| After primarily focusing on career interests in prenatal diagnosis and fetal intervention, Dr. Robert Ball became interested in telemedicine. He first gained experience with this technology when he worked in Utah and Idaho. By the time he joined the Texas Children’s faculty, he had expanded telemedicine services to include inpatient consults. Since arriving in Houston, he has been involved in Departmental and Systemwide telemedicine initiatives, and has been the Medical Director for eHealth at Texas Children’s since October 2019. |
| For numerous years he has been recognized as a “Top Doc” by Phoenix Magazine. Over his career he has received various teaching awards including Resident Educator of the Year from the University of Arizona. Dr. Mourad is very active in research projects and has written several publications as well as lectured at national and international presentations. He joined the faculty in 2013 as the Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. |
